FIDE World Youth & Cadets Championship 2015 – Round 7


The FIDE World Youth & Cadets Championship 2015 continued with round 7 here in Porto Carras, Halkidiki.

The untitled Mosadeghpour Masoud from Iran won another game in the Open U18 group to retain the perfect score and stay a full point ahead of the nearest follower.

Indian girls WFM Mahalakshmi M (6,5 points) and WFM Varshini V (6,0 points) are on the top of the Girls U18 section.

FM Fawzy Adham of Egypt won another game to remain clear leader in the Open U16 group. Meanwhile, the overnight leader in Girls U16, WFM Abdusattorova Bakhora, drew her game and is now joined by WFM Kiolbasa Oliwia and WFM Sieber Fiona on the shared first place.

The results in the Open U14 lifted as many as four players to the top with 6,0 points each: FM Esipenko Andrey, FM Gholami Aryan, FM Fakhrutdinov Timur and Vokhidov Shamsiddin.

In Girls U14 WFM Vaishali R and WFM Goltseva Ekaterina are with 6,0 points each.

Top seed in Open U12, FM Abdusattorov Nodirbek, resumed the winning row to emerge alone on the top with 6,5 points. Yip Carissa, the overnight leader in Girls U12, lost her first game and is caught by WCM Duran Esma Doga, WFM Salimova Nurgyul, WCM Salonika Saina and WFM Tan Huynh Thanh Truc.

In the Open U10 the leading group is reduced to only two players – FM Praggnanandhaa R and Wang Justin with 6,5 points each. With the same points WCM Mungunzul Bat-Erdene is alone on the top in the Girls section.

The Indian players are still topping the U8 sections. Bharath Subramaniyam H is in charge in the Open section with 6,5 points. Savitha Shri B is first among the Girls with the same points.
