Zurich Chess Challenge – Hikaru Nakamura in Lead

chess61US Grand Master Hikaru Nakamura is the lone leader in Zurich Chess Classic when he reached 2 and a half points.

He won over Russian Sergey Karjakin in 27 moves of and English opening simétric.

Indian GM Viswanathan Anand is half a point behind Nakamura because of his drw with Italian Fabiano Caruana in 45 moves of a opening Barcza.

Another drew was between Levon Aronian and Russian Vladimir Kramnik in 61 moves of a Reti opening.

On Tuesday play will see Kramnik-Karjakin, Anand-Nakamura and Aronian-Caruana,games that could define the final champion of the tournament.
