Senior Chess players face off in Fiji competitions this weekend

chess61A host of senior Fijian chess players are expected to be in action during the Tappoo City 2015 National Blitz Chess Championship in Suva on Saturday.

Players such as Hilda Vukikomoala, Gloria Sukhu, Taione Sikivou, Simon Yuen, Ashneel Singh, Ravikesh Prasad, Noel Adricula, Goru Arvind, Manoj Kumar and Calvin Prasad are expected to take part.

Defending Champion Candidate Master Ronald Terubea is expected to provide strong competition to all his challengers this weekend.

The National Blitz Chess Championship is the only 5-minute rapid event in Fiji.
Fiji Chess Federation will also hold its AGM on the same day after the competition, which will be played at the FASANOC Olympic House
