Rwanda – chess in schools program

Rwanda. Saturday 15 March marked the start of the roll-out of the MiniChess program sponsored by the Kasparov Chess Foundation Africa.

5 Schools in Rwanda were selected to implement this chess program in their school curriculum. Malusi Lekalakala, regional coordinator for Tsogo Sun Moves for Life, had a training session with the respective schools’ teachers on Saturday 15 March, and will be visiting the schools today and tomorrow to assist the kick off of this program.
